The Challenge
Migrating from SAP ECC 6.0 to S/4HANA across 12 business units in 8 countries, with 4,500+ custom ABAP programs, 200+ interfaces, and strict regulatory requirements. Previous migration attempts by other vendors had failed due to inadequate testing coverage.
Our Solution
We established a Center of Excellence for SAP testing, deploying 85 QA engineers across three time zones. Our approach included automated regression testing of all custom programs, end-to-end business process validation for 340+ critical workflows, and performance testing under peak transaction loads. We developed a proprietary data migration validation framework that verified 100% data integrity across all modules.

We began with a deep-dive into their custom ABAP landscape, classifying all 4,500+ programs by complexity, business criticality, and migration risk. This allowed us to prioritize testing efforts and allocate resources effectively.
Our automated test suite covered 97% of critical business processes, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report cycles. We ran 12 full regression cycles before go-live, catching and resolving 2,300+ defects in the process.
The phased go-live approach, with business units migrated in waves over 6 months, allowed us to apply lessons learned and continuously refine our testing approach, ultimately delivering a flawless production deployment.
