The company’s wearable device continuously monitored heart rate, blood oxygen, ECG, and body temperature. The device and its cloud platform needed FDA 510(k) clearance, requiring rigorous validation of measurement accuracy, data integrity, and clinical workflow integration.

We executed a comprehensive FDA validation program including device measurement accuracy testing against clinical-grade reference equipment, cloud platform IEC 62304 software lifecycle validation, data integrity testing from device to clinical dashboard, and cybersecurity assessment per FDA pre-market guidance.

Measurement accuracy testing was conducted in controlled clinical environments using gold-standard reference equipment. We tested across diverse subject demographics, skin tones, and activity levels to ensure the device performed consistently.
Software lifecycle validation followed IEC 62304 rigorously, with full traceability from user needs to system requirements to test cases to test results. Every line of code was associated with a validated requirement.
Cybersecurity was a growing focus of the FDA’s pre-market review. We conducted threat modeling, penetration testing, and validated the device’s secure boot, encrypted communication, and secure firmware update mechanisms.
